Home Theatre Setup - What have we done wrong?
A friend has just bought a Yamaha YHT-495 home theatre system and is having trouble with the setup. He has a PS3 connected via HDMI to his TV and an optical cable from his PS3 to his receiver. He is getting picture through the PS3 but no sound through the speakers. They work fine when he is listening to radio but not when watching a movie. Any help would be appreciated.
You have to change the PS3' s audio to output over optical. under settings and audio. Make sure the optical on the receiver is set with the same input as the hdmi.
